Upon selecting Tween Waters Inn as the host property for your special event, the Sales Manager will reserve your event space on a definite basis with required deposit and signed original contract within 7 days.
Tween Waters Inn does not “block” guest accommodations, without an advance deposit of one night room & tax paid on each room reserved. Please discuss these options with your sales manager.
The beach and marina are both privately owned by Tween Waters Inn. Therefore, all events, including wedding ceremonies must be scheduled with a sales manager, and are subject to applicable “site and facility” charges. Please discuss these options with your sales manager.
In the event of inclement weather, Tween Waters Inn will provide an in-door location for the function. Management is responsible for choosing the alternate location, and will determine the appropriate time to facilitate this action.
Due to city, state, health and liquor laws, Tween Waters Inn does not allow Food & Beverage to be brought in from any outside source. In addition, under age minors will not be permitted to consume alcoholic beverages, during any private events, in accordance with national laws. Individuals failing to adhere to this law will be asked to leave the event.
Tween Waters Inn has a wonderful Pastry Chef, who will be delighted to provide a special wedding cake for your event. However, you are allowed the option of selecting an outside bakery to provide your cake, with the additional charge of $1.00 per person for cutting & service.
Tween Waters Inn provides a list of pre-approved vendors in a variety of services, as part of our booking process. In addtion, we require prior notification of any outside vendors retained to provide services, on property, for your wedding, i.e. ceremony officiating, photography, floral, entertainment, wedding planning. In some instances, we may require proof of proper licenses and insurance prior to the night of the event. Tween Waters Inn provides all linens and does not allow outside contracting of this service.
Some restrictions apply regarding outside entertainment for the Sunset Room. As we feature live piano music nightly in our Old Captiva House, the use of entertainers in the Sunset Room is not permitted. Please discuss options and flexibility with your sales manager. Tween Waters Inn maintains the right to control volume on all entertainment in all venues.
Final menu, guarantee and payment of estimated charges are required on all events, 30 days prior to the event. This number is not subject to reduction, but may be increased by 10% with no penalty. Excessive increase to guarantee, occurring within 14 days of an event, may be subject to an additional food service charge of $2.00 per person.
All Food and Beverage charges are subject to a 20% service charge, in addition, Florida state law requires collection of a 6% State Sales Tax on all final balances.
In order to protect delicate eco systems on our island, Tween Waters Inn maintains a policy which prohibits the use of confetti, rice, potpourri, birdseed, or similar materials. Applicable labor charges for clean up will be assessed in the event of non-compliance. Please consult your Sales Manager for appropriate alternatives and unique suggestions for this lovely tradition.
A parquet/wood dance floor is complimentary for events reserved in the Wakefield Banquet room. Events reserved in all other banquet facilities do not require an additional dance floor, as most feature wood/hard floors.
Tween Waters Inn may use photographs taken by staff members and professional photographers for purposes of advertisement and marketing of the resort in both print and Internet form. |
